THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
