Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
