Did you not see those who dispute concerning Allah's Signs? Whence are they, then, being turned astray? 69 Those who gave the lie to this Book and all the Books which We had sent with Our Messengers shall soon come to know the Truth 70 When around their necks will be shackles and chains; they will be dragged. – 71 boiling water, and cast into the Fire. 72 then it is said to them, 'Where are those you associated, apart from God?' 73 "In derogation of Allah?" They will reply: "They have left us in the lurch: Nay, we invoked not, of old, anything (that had real existence)." Thus does Allah leave the Unbelievers to stray. 74 that is because you exulted in the land without justification and because you behaved insolently. 75 Enter the gates of Gehenna and live there for ever. Evil is the lodging of the proud. 76 So you persevere with patience (in your mission). The promise of God is true. Whether We show you some of the punishment We have promised them, or gather you up in death, they have to come back to Us. 77 Before your time We sent other messengers: of them there are some whose story We have related to you, and some whose story We have not related to you. It was not [possible] for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of God: but when the command of God was issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice. There and then, those who stood on falsehoods perished. 78
