Have you not seen how those who dispute the signs of God are turned away? 69 Those who belie the Book and that message wherewith We sent Our apostles, presently they shall come to know. 70 when fetters will be placed around their necks and chains will drag them 71 into boiling water and then they will be burned in the fire. 72 And then they will be asked: "Where now are those [powers] to which you were wont to ascribe divinity 73 associated with Allah in His Divinity?” They will say: “We have lost them; rather, we never used to call upon anyone before.” Thus will Allah cause them to stumble in error. 74 that is because you exulted in the land without justification and because you behaved insolently. 75 So enter the gates of Hell to abide in it for ever." How evil the abode of the arrogant! 76 So persevere in patience; for the Promise of Allah is true: and whether We show thee (in this life) some part of what We promise them,- or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (before that),-(in any case) it is to Us that they shall (all) return. 77 And certainly We sent apostles before you: there are some of them that We have mentioned to you and there are others whom We have not mentioned to you, and it was not meet for an apostle that he should bring a sign except with Allah's permission, but when the command of Allah came, judgment was given with truth, and those who treated (it) as a lie were lost. 78
