Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
HaMeem. 1 This Book is revealed from God, the Majestic and All-wise. 2 Behold, in the heavens as well as on earth there are indeed messages for all who [are willing to] believe. 3 And in your creation, and all the creatures He scatters in the earth – in them are signs for the people who are certain. 4 And in the alternation of night and day and that which Allah sendeth down of provision from the heaven and thereby quickeneth the earth after the death thereof and the turning about of the winds, are signs unto a people who reflect. 5 These are the revelations of God which We recite to you for a genuine purpose. In what statements other than God's and His revelations will they then believe? 6 Woe to every sinful liar 7 He hears the revelations of God which are recited to him, then persists in his arrogance as if he had not even heard them. Tell him that he will suffer a painful torment. 8 And when he comes to know of any of Our communications, he takes it for a jest; these it is that shall have abasing chastisement. 9 Before them is Hell, and what they had earned will not avail them at all nor what they had taken besides Allah as allies. And they will have a great punishment. 10 Such is Our guidance; those who reject their Lord's revelations shall suffer a woeful punishment. 11
