(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
