The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He created the human being 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 The plants and trees prostrate before Him. 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
