The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 you shall be divided into three parties, 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 Those are the ones brought near [to Allah] 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 a good many of those of olden times, 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 on lavish couches 15 facing one another. 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 with goblets, and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,- 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 And those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 27 (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, 28 And clustered plantains, 29 Lengthened shadows, 30 and flowing water, 31 And fruits numberless, 32 Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden, 33 And carpets raised. 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 for those on the Right, 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
