It is He who made the earth submissive to you; therefore walk in its tracts, and eat of His provision; to Him is the Uprising. 15 Do ye feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not cause you to be swallowed up by the earth when it shakes (as in an earthquake)? 16 Do you feel secure that He who is in the heaven will not loose against you a squall of pebbles then you shall know how was My warning. 17 And indeed, [many of] those who lived aforetime did give the lie [to My warnings]: and how awesome was My rejection [of them]! 18 Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful. Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing. 19 Or who is he that will be an army unto you to help you instead of the Beneficent? The disbelievers are in naught but illusion. 20 Or who is he that will provide for you if He should withhold His providence? Nay, but they are set in pride and frowardness. 21 Can one who walks with his head hanging down be better guided that one who walks with his head upright? 22 Say: He it is Who brought you into being and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts: little is it that you give thanks. 23 Say: 'It is He who scattered you in the earth, and unto Him you shall be mustered.' 24 They ask: 'When will this promise come, if you speak truthfully' 25 Say: "God alone has knowledge. My duty is only to warn you clearly." 26 So when they will see it close, the faces of the disbelievers will become ghastly, and it will be declared, “This is what you were demanding.” 27 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Tell me! If Allah destroys me, and those with me, or He bestows His Mercy on us, - who can save the disbelievers from a painful torment?" 28 Say thou: He is the Compassionate; in Him we have believed, and in Him we have put our trust. And anon ye will know who it is that is in error manifest. 29 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Tell me! If (all) your water were to be sunk away, who then can supply you with flowing (spring) water?" 30
