No! By the moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 From the guilty. 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 we fed not the needy, 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until death approached us". 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
