Nay! By the moon 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning for people -- 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 about the sinners. 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 we fed not the needy, 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
