Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30
