Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known extent. 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
