The News (Al-Naba')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ ABOUT WHAT do they [most often] ask one another? 1 About the awesome tiding [of resurrection,] 2 concerning which they are in disagreement! 3 No indeed; they shall soon know! 4 Again surely yes, they will soon come to know! 5 HAVE WE NOT made the earth a resting-place [for you,] 6 and the mountains as pegs? 7 And We created you in pairs 8 and made your sleep a means of repose, 9 And We have made the night a covering. 10 and made the day for earning a livelihood. 11 We have built above you seven mighty heavens, 12 and placed in them a blazing lamp 13 And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance, 14 that We may bring forth with it grain, plants 15 and gardens dense with foliage? 16 The Day of Judgment will certainly be the final appointment. 17 the Day that the Horn is blown, and you shall come in crowds 18 and heaven is opened, and become gates, 19 and when the mountains are made to vanish as if they had been a mirage. 20 Surely, Hell lies in wait, 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 They will abide therein for ages. 23 tasting therein neither coolness nor any drink 24 Save scalding water and corruption. 25 Requital corresponding. 26 Indeed they had no fear of the account. 27 and persistently rejected Our revelations. 28 We have kept account of everything in a book. 29 Taste therefore. We shall not increase you in aught but torment. 30
