The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 and those that blow gently, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 and gathered his people together 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
