Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
Are you the harder to create or the heaven? He made it. 27 high above? 28 And He made its night dark, and started its light. 29 And after that He spread the earth. 30 He draweth out therefrom its moisture and its pasture; 31 And the mountains He has fixed firmly; 32 All this was done as a means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 33 But when there comes the greatest catastrophe (i.e. the Day of Recompense, etc.), 34 The Day when man will remember that for which he strove, 35 And Hell-fire shall be made apparent in full view for (every) one who sees, 36 For, unto him who shall have transgressed the bounds of what is right, 37 And preferred the worldly life, 38 Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge. 39 But he who feared to stand before his Lord, and restrained himself from evil desires, 40 Verily, Paradise will be his abode. 41 They ask you about the hour, when it will come. 42 [But] how couldst thou tell anything about it, 43 Unto thy Lord is the Knowledge of the limit fixed therefor. 44 Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth it. 45 On the day that they see it, it will be as though they had not tarried but the latter part of a day or the early part of it. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
