He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 you attend to him, 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 As for him who comes to you striving (after goodness), 8 and fearfully, 9 Of him wast thou unmindful. 10 Not this way this is the advice. 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 It is contained in scrolls highly honoured, 13 uplifted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Noble and dutiful. 16 Perish the human! How unthankful he is! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions; 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him! 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 Then We cause to grow therein the grain, 27 And grapes and clover, 28 olives, dates, 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 and fruits and fodder 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 But when the great calamity comes 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 his wife and his sons: 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 Laughing and full of joy, 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 Blackness overcoming them. 41 Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). 42
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
