Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble scribes, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
