Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
