Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble, writers 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
