Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
