The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
