Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? 1 On that day (many) faces will be downcast, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 No food for them save bitter thorn-fruit 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 (Other) faces on that day shall be happy, 8 With their effort [they are] satisfied 9 In the high empyrean, 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 raised couches, 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 And the hills, how they are set up? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.) 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
