Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
