Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 taught Man that he knew not. 5 Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) seen him (i.e. Abu Jahl) who prevents, 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 and enjoins piety? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
