The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 Has taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 No indeed; if he does not desist, We shall drag him by the forelock; 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We shall call on the guards of Hell. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
