Al-Takaathur
Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 You will be shown hell 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
