Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Just look at him, who belies the religion! 1 So it is he, who pushes away the orphan, 2 And encourages not the feeding of the indigent. 3 So ruin is to those offerers of prayer – 4 who become confused during their prayers, 5 those who want only to be seen and praised, 6 And do not let others ask for small utilities. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
