Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
