Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 while you make merry? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
