And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
