The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
