▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by Mawaqi (setting or the mansions, etc.) of the stars (they traverse). 75 And this surely is great evidence if you can understand -- 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 And burning in hell. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
