And indeed We sent Moses with Our signs and with a clear authority 96 To Firon and his chiefs, but they followed the bidding of Firon, and Firon's bidding was not right-directing. 97 He shall stand at the head of his people on the Day of Resurrection, and shall lead them into the Fire. Evil is the place to which they shall be led. 98 And a curse followed them in the world, and on the Day of Resurrection; what a wretched gift is what they received. 99 That is from the stories of the cities which We recount unto thee: of them some are standing and some mown down. 100 And We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. And they were not availed at all by their gods which they invoked other than Allah when there came the command of your Lord. And they did not increase them in other than ruin. 101 Such is the seizing of your Lord, when He seizes the evildoing villages. His seizing is painful, stern. 102 Herein, behold, lies a message indeed for all who fear the suffering [which may befall them] in the life to come, [and are conscious of the coming of] that Day on which all mankind shall be gathered together - that Day [of Judgment] which shall be witnessed [by all that ever lived,] 103 during a single day. We have deferred this day for an appointed time. 104 The Day it comes no soul will speak except by His permission. And among them will be the wretched and the prosperous. 105 As for those who will be wretched (on that day) they will be in the Fire; sighing and wailing will be their portion therein, 106 They will dwell therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord wills. Verily, your Lord is the doer of what He wills. 107 ۞ And as for those who were [destined to be] prosperous, they will be in Paradise, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will - a bestowal uninterrupted. 108 So be not thou in doubt concerning that which these (folk) worship. They worship only as their fathers worshipped aforetime. Lo! we shall pay them their whole due unabated. 109
