Hizb 46
< random >
AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 What though they would say, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 That they would be helped, 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
