The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
