The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 who observe Zakah; 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 These are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
