And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, therefore I fear that they may slay me. 14 He said: Nay, verily. So go ye twain with Our tokens. Lo! We shall be with you, Hearing. 15 So go you to Pharaoh, and say, "Verily, I am the Messenger of the Lord of all Being; 16 "So allow the Children of Israel to go with us.' " 17 (The Pharaoh) said: "Did we not bring you up as a child? And you lived a number of years of your life with us. 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 Moses replied, "I did that when I was one of the misguided, 20 So I ran away from you out of fear. But my Lord has given me wisdom, and made me an apostle. 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 He said: The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure. 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 Said [Pharaoh]: "Indeed, if thou choose to worship any deity other than me, I shall most certainly throw thee into prison! 29 and Moses asked, "Even if I show you a clear sign?" 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. 33
