Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars fall, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And the breath of morning 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
