Let the dead earth be a Sign for them. We gave it life and produced from it grain whereof they eat. 33 and produced therein grains from which they eat and established therein gardens of palms trees and vineyards and have made streams flow therein 34 That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful? 35 Limitless in His glory is He who has created opposites in whatever the earth produces, and in men's own selves, and in that of which [as yet] they have no knowledge. 36 And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. 37 And [they have a sign in] the sun: it runs in an orbit of its own [and] that is laid down by the will of the Almighty, the All-Knowing; 38 And for the moon We have appointed mansions till she return like an old shrivelled palm-leaf. 39 how the sun is not supposed to catch-up with the moon, nor is the night to precede the day. All of them are to float in a certain orbit; 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark (of Noah). 41 And have created for them of the like thereof whereon they ride. 42 And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved; 43 Unless by mercy from Us, and as a comfort for a while. 44 And when it is said to them: "Beware of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allah's Religion Islamic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allah with righteous deeds). 45 And there comes not to them a communication of the communications of their Lord but they turn aside from it. 46 When they are told: "Spend of what God has given you," the unbelievers say to those who believe: "Why should we feed those whom God should have fed if He pleased?" You are only in palpable error. 47 The unbelievers say, "When will the Day of Judgment come if what you say is at all true?" 48 They await just one scream, which will overcome them while they are involved in worldly disputes. 49 and they will not even be able to make a testament, nor to return to their households. 50
