The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 by a burning fire 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
