Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? 24 When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, 26 And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! 29 They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." 30 ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” 31 They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, 32 To send down upon them stones of clay, 33 Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance." 34 So We brought out from therein the believers. 35 But did not find more than a single family of believers. 36 and We left therein a sign for those who fear a painful punishment. 37 There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." 39 We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. 40 And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. 41 that left nothing that it came upon without reducing it to rubble. 42 And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. 43 But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw. 44 Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. 45 And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient. 46
