In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Suad, I swear by the Quran, full of admonition. 1 Those who deny the truth are steeped in arrogance and hostility. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed before them, and they [then] called out; but it was not a time for escape. 3 And they marvel that there should come unto them a warner from among themselves. And the infidels say: this is a magician and a liar! 4 Has he made the gods [only] one God? Indeed, this is a curious thing." 5 And the leader among them go away (impatiently), (saying), "Walk ye away, and remain constant to your gods! For this is truly a thing designed (against you)! 6 We have not heard of this in the latest religion. This is not but a fabrication. 7 What! Upon him alone from among all of us should a [divine] reminder have been bestowed from on high?" Nay, but it is My Own reminder that they distrust! Nay, they have not yet tasted the suffering which I do impose! 8 Do they possess the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Mighty, the Great Bestower? 9 Have they control over heavens and earth and whatever [lies] between them? Then let them climb up to heaven by ropes: 10 this host too, among other hosts, is bound to suffer defeat. 11 Before them, the people of Nooh had denied, and the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun who used to crucify. 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; - such were the Confederates. 13 not one, that cried not lies to the Messengers, so My retribution was just. 14

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
