The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Arise and warn, 2 And your Lord glorify 3 And your clothing purify 4 And uncleanness do shun, 5 And bestow not favors that you may receive again with increase, 6 But for your Lord be patient. 7 When the Horn is blown, 8 it will be a hard day 9 It will not be easy for those who deny the truth. 10 Leave Me alone with he whom I created 11 and to whom I have granted resources vast, 12 And children present [with him] 13 And made (life) smooth for him. 14 and yet, he greedily desires that I give him even more! 15 Nay! Verily, he has been stubborn and opposing Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). 16 I will cover him with arduous torment. 17 Indeed, he thought and deliberated. 18 But may he be cursed how he plotted; 19 Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. 20 Then he considered [again]; 21 then he frowned, and scowled, 22 Then turned he away in pride 23 Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old; 24 this is nothing but the word of a mere mortal!” 25 I will soon fling him into hell. 26 And what will make you realize what hell is? 27 It spares nothing; it leaves nothing intact; 28 It scorches the mortal. 29 Above it are nineteen. 30 We have appointed only angels to be masters of the Fire, and their number We have appointed only as a trial for the unbelievers, that those who were given the Book may have certainty, and that those who believe may increase in belief, and that those who were given the Book and those who believe may not be in-doubt, and that those in whose hearts there is sickness, and the unbelievers, may say, 'What did God intend by this as a similitude?' So God leads astray whomsoever He will, and He guides whomsoever He will; and none knows the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but a Reminder to mortals. 31
