Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when sight is confounded 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
