The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
