The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
