And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
