Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
