Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
